More than 600 people residing in a small town, Mariental, including teachers, learners, elders, and regional councilors gathered at the Sportsground in commemoration of the 26th World Food Day and the 14th International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. The President Hifikepunye Pohamba's keynote address was read by Governor Hanse. A highlight of the day was a school performance - a Tswana and Gumboot dance illustrating humanity's quest for a world free from hunger and poverty.
